The head of the toothbrush has an angles shape, narrow at the top and wider towards the handle. I have this with a soft bristled brush. I am know to brush too hard so this is perfect for me.. I am not brushing too hard so YEAH! I feel like my teeth are just as clean as with any other manual toothbrush, I have used.. What I love about this is the cool factor, it looks pretty sleek and cool, it's a totally conversational piece.. I also love that it comes with a replacement head so I am not tossing out the entire toothbrush just the head so this means not so much being thrown out.. It's really got soft bristles that are comfortable on my teeth and gums.. Works great and again, much cooler than any other brush I have used! it is also really light and easy to maneuver too.. gets into all the tough to reach posts also
